Know What To Look For With A 0% Balance Transfer (technology industry news) Credit Card

By Peter Kenny

If you have high interest rate credit cards with outstanding balances on them you may find that the monthly repayments that you are making on the cards are very high. In addition, if you are only making small repayments on the cards you may find that a large portion of what you pay on each balance in getting swallowed up in interest, which means that your actual balance is hardly being touched leaving you at risk of having the debt hanging around your neck for a long time to come.

This is the reason why many people have decided over recent years to transfer their higher interest credit card debts onto a convenient and affordable 0% balance transfer credit card. By doing this cardholders can save a considerable amount of money in interest payments, and as long as they remain within the credit limit on the new card can transfer balances from a range of different credit cards so that they have fewer credit card debts to deal with.

It is important to make sure that you get the best deal possible when you opt for a 0% balance transfer credit card, as getting the best deal can help you to save more money and buy you more time to repay the balance. There are a number of things that you should check when it comes to finding a suitable 0% balance transfer deal, and by taking the time to compare different 0% balance transfer cards and compare these different factors you can increase your chances of getting the most competitive deal.

Of course, one of the most important factors that you will need to look at is how long the interest free credit period is, as the longer this is the more time you will have to repay the transferred balance without being charged any interest. Some 0% balance transfer cards offer interest free periods of just six months or so, but others offer 0% interest for twelve or even fifteen months in some cases. Make sure that you compare cards from a range of providers in order to find the best interest free period.

Most 0% balance transfer credit cards charge a transfer fee, and this is usually a percentage of the total amount that is being transferred. You need to compare the various 0% balance transfer cards and compare how much each charges by way of a transfer fee, as this can vary from one card provider to another. On average the transfer fee ranges from 2-3 percent of the total amount that is being transferred.

Although you should aim to repay the balance in full before the interest free period comes to an end on these 0% balance transfer cards it is worth taking a look at the interest rate that is charged just in case your have a remaining balance by the time the 0% period expires. However, this should not be the priority, as you should aim to have the balance cleared by the time that the interest free period ends.

Tips For Selling Your Car
By john mce

Selling a car can be a challenge for many people. Generally, if you sell your car yourself, you will get a higher price than if you sell or part exchange it with a garage. So what things do you need to know?

Preparing your car

The better you can make your car look, the more buyers will get a good impression. You need to make sure it looks immaculate. You can use a professional cleaner, or do it yourself. If you decide to do the cleaning, you must remember places which are often missed, like the door openings and the boot.

Wash and polish the exterior, including the wheel trims and any trims. Clean the inside and remove any loose items, or it can look untidy. Make sure the windscreen washer fluid and radiator are topped up, so you give the impression you have looked after the car. Take out any personal items; fluffy animals are not everybody’s taste!

Imagine you are a potential buyer and look at your car as critically as you can. Does it look good and well cared for?

Gather all your documentation, especially any service records. If the car has any faults, decide whether you will get them fixed, or be prepared to negotiate with any potential buyers.

Advertising your car

You will need to write a clear, concise and accurate description, whether you are selling online, in your local paper or in a specialist magazine. If you are selling online, you can usually include several photographs of your car.

Once you have the car immaculate and are satisfied that buyers will be interested, take good clear photographs. Take two or three clear photographs of the car, preferably from the sides, back and front, along with the interior if possible.

Find out how much cars of the same make and model are going for, so you have a good indication of how much to ask for your car. Over pricing your car means that buyers will ignore it and under pricing means that you are going to lose out, so you need to come somewhere within the guidelines.

The perfect car ad will include the following:

- Exact type of car - the correct car make, model and engine size

- Year and registration letter

- Mileage

- Colour - be precise - metallic red is clearer than ‘Toreador’

- Tax - state when the tax will expire

- MOT - the date when the next MOT is due

- Service history - if your car has a recorded service history

- Number of owners - cars with fewer owners are desirable

- Features - any features, such as air conditioning, alloy wheels, electric windows Asking price

- Reason - if you have a reason, such as moving abroad, include it

A note of caution

Most buyers are honest people who are just looking for a bargain. However there are some unscrupulous people who will pose as buyers, so always be on the lookout for thieves. By using a little common sense you can avoid problems.

Remember:

- never leave the keys in the ignition while someone is looking it over

- always go with them for a test drive

- if the buyer is paying by cheque, wait until it has cleared in your bank account before letting the car go

It would make a lot of difference whether you want wish ‘Happy Anniversary’, ‘Thank you’, or ‘Happy Birthday’. One common factor amongst all these occasions is that fact behind all these messages you want to express the same feeling of ‘I love you’. Buying a gift for an anniversary is a perfect occasion when you would like to express your love for him. The gift should fully cover the whole meaning behind celebrating anniversaries. Another criterion for selection of gift could be the need of that person. A very good example would be gifting of clothing or footwear. You might have found that his favourite jeans is torn or his shoes are torn and accordingly, you could gift him.
